John Mancini, a serviceman for Mosler Safe Company, bought a small Boston business in 1958 – Bank Vault Service & Lock Company – and set out on his own. Six months later, his brother Frank Mancini who also worked at Mosler decided to leave as well and together they started calling on Boston bank branches.

Branch by branch they built a business; and two first-generation American brothers were now living the American Dream.

John and Stella Mancini, Founder, Bank Vault Service & Lock Company; Distributor of John Tann

In 1989, Bank Vault Service & Lock Company re-branded as MANCINI Safe Company and moved to Cambridge, MA.

During the 1970’s Bank Vault Service & Lock Company became a leading distributor of John Tann, ISM, Kaso, American Security Products and Meilink Safes. The service team expanded, and the company got its first National Account. Bob Mancini, son of John Mancini, started designing and UL testing MANCINI safes and began importing High Security, Fire, Burglary and Fire, and Gun Safes. Bob designed and constructed Vaults for major jewelers like Shreve, Crump and Low and Hearts on Fire. In 1989, Bank Vault Service & Lock Company was re-branded as MANCINI Safe Company and moved to Cambridge, MA.

The second generation is building on the first.
