MANCINI's High Security Vaults


Today, most Walk-In Vaults are constructed by assembling pre-manufactured panels of varying size on-site to create the body. The door and door frame are then connected. The older approach was to make forms and pour concrete into the forms to create the body on site. Then the door and door frame were connected.

The doors and panels are available in different grades. Here’s a brief explanation of the Underwriters Laboratories (UL) labels and what they mean.

Class 3 - offers the most burglary resistance
Class 2 - offers a High degree of burglary resistance. Used by many Banks and Jewelers.
Class 1 - offers good burglary resistance.
Class M - offers some burglary resistance.


There are three different approaches to manufacturing these Vaults:
1) Light weight - When the need exists to minimize weight but still meet security needs.
2) Concrete - Not so concerned about weight (slightly less expensive than light weight)
3) Tempered - A stronger concrete mix affords the convenience of a thinner Panel. (Most expensive of the three)
